IPAK Expansion in Camden NJ
Southern NJ, Feb 13 2017— In an effort to keep pace with its expanding business, IPAK, Inc. has begun operations at a second facility located in Camden, NJ. IPAK is now neighbor to the Campbell Soup Company and will soon be joined by Subaru, who is scheduled to relocate its headquarters to Camden in 2017.
This move has enabled IPAK to apply for HUBZone (Historically Underutilized Business Zone) certification, a designation that reinforces the company’s commitment to hiring from the local community. Over 42% of IPAK’s employees currently reside in HUBZone urban areas, with the majority living in the City of Camden and neighboring Philadelphia.
“As a resident of Camden County, I have a personal connection to the city,” says CEO Karen Primak, “so empowering the community by increasing employment is part of IPAK’s long-term strategic vision.”
While this is not the last step in IPAK’s multi-year growth plan, it is an important one. IPAK joins a host of other businesses who are doing their part to enable urban renewal in Camden.
